FREEPHONE NUMBERS (0800/0808)
Freephone numbers (0800/0808) – Freephone numbers are issued free of charge to you without a connection or rental charge and can terminate on any number of your choice, including fax and data numbers.
BT currently charge £89.97 for the rental of freephone numbers, giving you an annual saving of £360 in rental charges alone.
Our charge is 3p per minute for calls received, a saving of 65% over BT’s rate of 8.5p. Freephone numbers can be ported at no cost from BT and many other providers with no change to your existing number or routing.
LOCAL RATE NUMBERS (0845)
Local rate numbers (0845) – These are issued free of charge without any connection or on-going rental charge. For each call received on your 0845 number you are charged nothing and can be directed at any of your existing numbers.
0845 numbers are ideal if you have customers nationwide, as all they would pay is a local rate. Also if you should move at anytime your existing numbers, your 0845 number can be retained and directed at your new number.
With 0800, 0870 & 0845 numbers, SCL can provide a customer web portal to allow routing of calls to the numbers to be changed by the customer
NATIONAL RATE NUMBERS (0870/0871)
National rate numbers (0870/0871) – These are issued free of charge and carry no monthly rental. For each call received on your 0870 number you would receive a rebate. For an increased rebate you may wish to consider a 0871 number.
0870/0871 numbers can be directed at any of your existing numbers, in the same way as 0800/0845 numbers.
FAX-TO-E-MAIL NUMBERS (0871)
Fax-to-E-Mail numbers (0871) – These provide you with an inbound fax facility without the need for a traditional fax machine as transmissions received would arrive as a ‘tif’ file in your ‘Inbox’.
Ideal for home workers with only a lap top, multi page faxes where only a few pages are required on paper and confidential information. Also makes forwarding information easy.
Once again, these are issued free of charge, carry no monthly rental and for each call received on your 0871 number you are charged nothing, no rebate would apply.
All of our non-geographic numbers are issued with no set-up charges or rental fees.
They can be linked to any standard telephone number and are excellent tools for:
- Giving your business a corporate, localised or nationwide presence
- Advertising a new number prior to moving premises
- Disaster recovery. They can be re-directed to different destinations quickly in case of emergency.
