0870 numbers are used by many businesses and organisations to provide a wide range of information and advice including many customer service and support lines.

Historically, calls to 0870 numbers costed more than calls to normal landline destinations (eg. 01, 02), and owners of 0870 numbers earned revenue from thier incoming calls. This is no longer the case.

The Current Situation With 0870 Numbers

0870 Owners
Owners of 0870 numbers now pay a call rate for inbound traffic, typically around 3p / minute. If you have an 0870 number with another provider, you can move it to us seamlessly and at no cost.

0870 Callers
Callers to 0870 numbers now pay much less than before, usually at a rate close to or equal to the cost of standard land-line geographic calls, depending on the call provider they are using.

03 numbers are an alternative to 08xx numbers such as 0845 and 0870. Calls to 03 numbers cost the same as calls to geographic numbers (starting 01 or 02), and are billed and treated in the same way as normal calls to landline destinations.
