The NEC ASPIRE Telephone System

The NEC Aspire is a fully scalable telephone system, supporting up to 512 telephone extensions in any format - VoIP, TDM, analogue (eg. faxes) - and in any combination. The system has a capacity of 180 telephone lines in any format - digital ISDN, analogue and VoIP SIP trunks.

MyCalls provides live and historical phone system management information.

NEC Aspire mycalls call reporting

MyCalls logs every call made to and from your phone system, including missed or abandoned phone calls. Useful data is stored on phone call activity, for example source and destination telephone numbers, duration of calls, time of calls, user/extension activity and caller waiting times.

The visual display can show a range of live call statistics - as they happen. Cumulative totals of incoming, outgoing or abandoned calls, average time to answer can be displayed and much more. It is easily customised to draw attention to business-critical call information.

NEC ASPIRE MYPHONE USER APPLICATION

Every Aspire system is supplied with the MyPhone Personal Phone Productivity Manager. The MyPhone browser gives phone users point and click control of their phone preferences and screenpops into MS Outlook. Keeping in touch is made easier – find your contact in MS Outlook, click and you’re dialling automatically!

MyPhone requires a dedicated telephony server to run the application. A Windows XP Pro PC will support up to 10 users, and a full Windows 2003 Server is required for more. 25 user licences are provided free of charge with every Aspire telephone system.

MS Outlook Integration - MyPhone links to Outlook contacts to provide point and click dialling, and screen-popping for inbound callers. If their details are in your Contacts list then MyPhone will show who is calling before you answer.

Aspire ACD Software
The Aspire system allows up to 64 ACD contact centre inbound call groups with up to 512 ACD agents. You can put any agent in any group. In addition, an agent can be logged into only one group at a time, but a Call Coverage key can be programmed for other groups. This allows, for example, a Technical Service representation to answer Customer Service calls at lunch time when many of the Customer Service reps are unavailable.

Recorded calls are easy to export and e-mail as .mp3 or .wav files. These are encrypted to ensure they are tamper proof. Calls can be archived to disc or other storage devices and for added security they can only be replayed on MyCalls Call Recorder when they are recovered.

The VoIP Phone adapter can be added to any standard 24-button or 12-button keystation telephone, converting it's architecture from hard-wired (TDM) to VoIP.

The VoIP phone adapter simply plugs into the bottom of a standard 24 or 12-button keystation telephone, converting it from TDM to VoIP instantly.

PLESSEY PKS2 & GPT MASTERLINE

The Plessey PKS2 was an early keysystem-type phone system manufactured by Nitsuko Corporation and sold in the UK by Mercury Communications (known as the Mercury Trinity) and GPT/Plessey. BT also sold early PKS2 systems under the BT Merlin name. These systems were advanced keysystems with very powerful and easy-to-use functions, accessible via one-touch feature keys on the telephone handsets.

These systems proved very popular and many are still in use today due to thier efficient operation and reliability.

The Plessey PKS2 was superceeded by the GPT Masterline DXE phone system, which in turn was superceeded by the Nitsuko/NEC DXE system, first released in 1995.

Users of these telephone systems often discover that the transition to a new NEC SV8100 system is very easy, as the features they are used to using are still available, even with the latest state-of-the-art technology in use.
