The NEC Univerge SV8100 is a VoIP Centric telephone system that can operate with up to 512 VoIP telephones or IP devices. The system has the unique flexibility to operate with any mix of Digital (traditionally wired) and IP phones as required. This allows companies to add a handful of "mission critical" TDM telephones to enable continued phone operation in case of computer network or IP faults. Wired (TDM) and VoIP handsets are identical - users don't know the difference.

The system also has a unique IP networking feature. NetLink allows multiple SV8100 systems to merge via the WAN/LAN infrastructure, effectively allowing multiple sites to operate as one corporate telephone system. System voicemail, user profiles and configurations are used centrally, accessible from any site.

Survivability is critical in any multi site VoIP solution. Every "node" or local phone system on the NetLink network can be connected to PSTN telephone lines, making sure that phone calls can be made and recieved if network links become unavailable

Every NEC system can support SIP trunks, or "internet telephone lines".

You can connect your system to the internet and make free calls to any other SIP-connected systems and users.

All you need is a VoIP compression card. These VoIP cards are available in 32-circuit, 64-circuit and 128-circuit formats.

A 32-circuit card will support up to 32 simultaneous SIP calls/trunks and costs only £500.00!

NEC have supported full SIP and VoIP internet functionality since 2003.

Please note that currently, voice connection and quality is not guaranteed for voip phone calls made over the internet.

Truly Integrated Multi-Site Communications

NEC systems are available worldwide, and it's possible for NEC systems to be integrated with each other regardless of location, in a number of ways:

* Voice VPN - a FREE networking feature, using the PSTN for site-to-site traffic when quality data links are unavailable.

* NETLINK - The Netlink protocol allows SV8100 systems to use VoIP to integrate seamlessly via WAN/LAN data networks with completely centralised receptionist and voicemail functions.

* AspireNet - SV8100 systems can be linked to NEC Aspire systems almost seamlessly with centralised operator functions and many shared user features present between the systems.

* QSIG / DPNSS / BRI / E & M - Standard digital and analogue networking protocols are supported, allowing NEC SV8100 phone systems to connect to non-NEC phone systems and phone networks.
