Since a management buyout in 2002, the company has been taking innovative advantage of new telecoms markets and has evolved dramatically from the original core product – phone systems, to multiple business telecoms offerings.
Telephone systems remain a core part of our business, complemented with data products, business mobiles and cloud based services, to provide our customers with complete communication solutions.

2005 – The company changed from offering customers third party carriers to route calls (we were Eurocall’s largest dealer) to become a full calls and lines reseller with our own system to bill customers directly for their calls. This required huge investment and a move to new premises.
2006 – Southern Communications gained the status of BT Open Reach Wholesale Partner, meaning we were able to provide phone line installations and rental at competitive prices, backed up by a dedicated in-house support team.
2007 – Partnered with Griffin to sell white labelled broadband, having recognised that broadband would become a key market for telecoms and VoIP,
2008 – Became one of a select number of UK companies to sign an agreement with Opal, thanks to our expertise and call volumes, to resell their NGN (Next Generation Network) calls and broadband products – providing our customers with unprecedented broadband speed at competitive rates.
2008 – Established a dedicated Mobile department to reflect customer demand and secured VSP agreement to sell Vodafone and O2 as well as Gamma mobile.
2010 – Established a dedicated data connectivity department selling Broadband and Ethernet circuits to take full advantage of the evolving market for high speed data circuits.
2012 – Company made their first acquisition of a telecoms company, based in Dorking
2013 – Second acquisition and significant growth plans announced to accelerate the company’s national presence.
2014 – Acquired Tier 2 ISP and two further telecommunications companies.
2015 – Listed in Megabuyte50 Top 50 best-performing privately owned technology companies in the UK mid-market
2016 – Listed for the second consecutive year in Megabuyte50 Top 50 best-performing privately owned technology companies in the UK mid-market
