Southern Communications listed in The Southern Tech100 2015

Basingstoke, Hampshire 09/02/2015 – Basingstoke based Southern Communications Ltd is 49th in the 2015 Southern Tech 100 listing.

This is a great result for Southern Communications who now employ over 140 staff at their Headquarters in Basingstoke.

The listing is published by The Business Magazine and positions the top 100 private technology companies with headquarters in the south. The listing represents an overall turnover of £6.1 billion and around 18,600 staff across a wide range of businesses, with providers of cloud based solutions making their way up the chart. There is an overall growth in cloud services with the publication stating: “A recent technology analyst’s survey said that cloud computing was experiencing a 26% compound annual growth rate”.

This is a great accolade for Southern Communications who has developed an impressive range of products and services to address every aspect of SME telecoms needs including cloud and data services and have seen annual turnover grow by 50% during the past three years.

Paul Bradford CEO says ”This is a great result for Southern Communications, we are delighted to be listed in the Tech100 and we are certainly seeing a drive in the direction of cloud and hosted services from our customers. The way businesses communicate is changing at a pace as they look to embrace the flexibility and mobility offered by cloud based technology and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environments, whilst maintaining the functionality of their traditional telecommunications”.

The uptake of cloud and data products has been significant with businesses shifting their focus from hardware to software and remote services, a shift that Southern Communications has a clear strategy to continue to address with a range of exciting new products due to market in 2015.

“This is great recognition of the continued hard work of our staff who are committed to

providing our customers with the products and services they need to grow their businesses” commented Paul Bradford.
